Error with sysmaster DB creation

OS UNIX IBM AIX 4.1.4 ONLINE 7.12 UC2 HARDWARE IBM RS6000 (R30) SMP I am having problems creating the sysmaster DB for an additional instance. It is not being created! The SQL (sysmaster.sql) is okay, yet after compeletion of execution no sysmaster is being created and the following message appears on the log: Building 'sysmaster' database ... 19:25:39 Error building 'sysmaster' database. 19:25:39 See '/tmp/buildsmi.82244'. Yet since the "SQL" executes okay the /tmp/buildsmi..... file is removed by INFORMIX, yet my sysmaster is not created. Anybody got in ideas or suggesstions (Informix Tech ran out, gave me 4 suggestions and I still have the problem). I ran the sql and created the sysmaster db (the Informix Tech advice since it will execute okay and online not abort), yet when I bring the instance offline and then back-up I receive the above message in the log. I remember reading an E-mail about problems with creation of the sysmaster DB creation at init, it this that problem? Or have I found another one that could eventually be a 7.12 BUG (Informix Tech statement).
