Hi, everybody when I use the the following statements : define name char(8) prompt 'Enter your name: ' for name attribute (reverse) The reverse line for "name" extends to the end of the current line rather than the the actual length of the variable. How can I restrict the reverse line to the actual lebgth? Thanks.
Try defining a window of appropriate length and then using the prompt in that window. Or put an input form in that window and use the INPUT statement instead this attribute will only apply to the current form field. > Zhimin Jiang wrote: > > > Hi, everybody > > > > when I use the the following statements : > > > > define name char(8) > > prompt 'Enter your name: ' for name attribute (reverse) > > > > The reverse line for "name" extends to the end of the current > > line rather than the the actual length of the variable. > > > > How can I restrict the reverse line to the actual lebgth? > > > > Thanks. > > > > > > > >
