dbload utility
I ran into a problem using dbload under Informix 4.0 (online). The following
is the command file I was using:

file "test.txt" delimiter "|" 6;
insert into menusys (menuid, menu_title)
values (f01, f02);----------------------------------------------
Here are the first few lines of the data file I was trying to load:

ORGAN|0|MENU FUNCTIONS BY ORGANIZATION|||B
ALUM10|0|Membership Reporting Selections||ALUM|B
GFAM|0|OUTREACH MINISTRIES||ORGAN|B
FINANAF|0|FINANCIAL AFFAIRS||ORGAN|B
----------------------------------------------------------
Here is the error messages I got:
In INSERT statement number 1 of raw data file test.txt.
Row number 1 is bad.
ORGAN 0 BLOB VALUE BLOB VALUE BLOB VALUE ...
The # of fields in the load file does not match the # on the FILE line
In INSERT statement number 1 of raw data file test.txt.
Row number 2 is bad.
ALUM10 0 BLOB VALUE BLOB VALUE BLOB VALUE ...
(same error message for all rows)
I was finally able to get things to work by loading field # 6 into a dummy
column. Was I doing something wrong, or is this a bug in dbload?
The table menusys looks like this:
menuid char(8)
menu_title char(40)
purpose char(75)
