Hi, I am looking for "php_pdo_informix.dll" whicg is the compiled version of the PDO driver for Windows. PDO stands for PHP Data Objects. Any help would be useful. (and it is not in the latest .zip from PHP.net). Thanks. Jean Georges Perrin (aka jgp)

Just curious. You could install VMware Workstation, put a Linux OS in a VM, on your Windows host, and then have PHP under Linux, with Apache. VMware Workstation is $189, cheaper than buying a whole new machine, and you can have Linux and Windows on one machine at the same time. Get the Windows Host version. Surprisingly it doesn't take a lot of RAM to run, I'm running SuSE10 in 256MB of RAM, on a laptop that has 1GB of RAM. It would give you the opportunity to install PHP with the Informix libs you were looking for, and of course install Informix on Linux. Unless of course you really want the Windows version, and somebody can get you the DLL. You will also be able to totally customize PHP and your Apache web server as if it were a real webserver if you use Linux, unless of course you have that ability on Windows, which most people do not. You might also find help over here: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html Just my .02...

Having done 4GL for a while, Java & J2EE and now PHP, I do not wish to be "platform dependent" when I develop. It's another story when I go to production :)... I like VMWare too. and I used to use it in a slightly different manner... > -----Original Message----- > From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org > [mailto:informix-list-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Double Echo > Sent: Monday, February 20, 2006 23:48 > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Re: php_pdo_informix.dll / PDO driver for Windows > > Jean Georges Perrin wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > I am looking for "php_pdo_informix.dll" whicg is the > compiled version > > of the PDO driver for Windows.
