INFORMIX and security

Hello out there, we have to solve a security problem. Our applications have to log all user activities like an insert, update or delete of a row. Even select access should be logged with date, time, user, tablename, row-identification. Of course the first idea is programming this feature with 4GL or by setting triggers. But we are hoping that there is a better way. We have heard of INFORMIX-Secure but we don't know the features of the product. Can anybody describe them? Whats about transaction monitors. Do this products (i.e. Tuxedo) offer any features to create logfiles described above? Any hints are appreciated...
