onbar strangeness in AIX 4.3

While running a battery of archive and recovery tests with on bar on IDS 7.31UC2 on AIX 4.3.2 I encountered a rather strange problem. Just curious if anyone else has seen this. I had gone through 4 successul restore attempts. The fifth attempt was interrupted by my connection to work going down and it failed. I attempted to do the restore over, but recieved a message that the rootdbs and physdbs were from different archives in online.log. Checking bar_act, it appeared to be happy. I tried to manipulate my ixbar to prevent it from restoring anything besides the last 0. No luck so far. I've opened a ticket with Informix, but would like to see if anyone else has seen this with onbar. I'd hate to think a failed restore could cause this kind of problem....
