talking to ifmx 7.3 server using IP address.

Hi, I installed informix 7.3 server(S) and client(C) software on two solaris hosts. I also installed client soft. on S to use it as a client as well. They are on two LANs but are not on an NIS domain(each can reach other using IP addr). Server name is y2ktest. On S, sqlhosts has(I want sh.mem. connection for my local client on S): dbserv1 onipcshm y2ktest y2kpt dbserv2 ontlitcp y2ktest y2kpt2 Also, on S, I added a line to /etc/services: y2kpt2 1001/tcp # ifmx server On C, sqlhosts has: dbserv2 ontlitcp y2ktest y2kpt2 and on C, added the server ip addr. to /etc/hosts: 128.96.133.113 y2ktest But, when I run isql, I get: Unknown error message number '32766' Am I missing something ? How do I configure the client to talk to the databases on the server. If possible, please cc me in reply. Thanks for pointers. AH
