SQLCA in stored procedure

Hi, I am using Informix ODS 7.14 on HP-UX 10.01. I want to trap sqlcode error 100 (no record found) in a stored procedure. I experimented with ON EXCEPTIONS, but it didn't work. Is there a way out without using SELECT count (*) INTO ....? Advance thanks. Best regards, Mahesh G.
