RE: IDS 7.31 UC2 crash and burn

I am also running Informix on an HP 9000 with HP-UX10.20 and my suggestion is this: Make a list of all the patches recommended by Informix (look into your INFORMIXDIR/3/release/en_us/0333/*) grep PH >/tmp/pepe and edit clean the result. Send it to your HP technical support rep. with a list of the installed software (swlist ....) and ask them to send you a tape with the necessary patches. I'm sure you'll solve the problem but if not you'll be sure that is not because you are missing a patch. In my experience "not having ALL the patches" has the kind of consequence that you are reporting and is not simple to diagnose from the error messages. Even Informix support was mislead. > N.
