Sybase to Informix

Can some of my Informix compadres give me some things to look for when converting a Visual Basic system which accessed Sybase through Microsoft SQL Server v. 6 to Informix 7x through Microsoft SQL Server. Some of the areas of information I am looking for: 1) Why stick with Microsoft SQL Server? 2) Is Visigenics ODBC faster than Microsoft SQL? 3) What happens to SQL? 4) What can I do on the Informix side to test? 5) Will I run into row locking and isolation level issues will arise? Since Sybase does not have row locking capabilities at this point. 6) What about Temporary tables? etc... .. fill in the blanks .. .. .. Thanks in advance, David J Meyer Guerilla Software Inc.
