V7.31 Processor Affinity

Can someone please give me some definitive info on processor affinity. We are running IDS V7.31 on HP-UX 10.20. Database of 440 tables, mainly OLTP, some DSS-type queries, 4GL applications running on the same machine as the DB server, all raw disk, fragmentation by expression used, ~75 users. Looking to go to 4 processors. Specifically, what performance improvements can we expect (so far we have been quoted percentages of 'squat' to '50%') for the database and the applications?
