Re: ? Prevent bad IT investments?

Noone's "pimped out" the IIUG mailing list. We NEVER give the list to ANYONE, not even IBM gets that list. Not even the four current and five former BOD members who provide charged services to the community in addition to their volunteer work have access to use that mailing list. The privacy of the IIUG mailing list is sacrosanct. As for VendorRate and the recent email advertisement, the IIUG sent out that email blast as it does all such emails for our partners and sponsors. VendorRate is an IIUG partner. They get the equivalent of the lowest sponsor's privileges, which includes a number of email blasts annually, in exchange for services rendered to the organization, the specifics of which is Board of Directors' business. Suffice it to say that we get value for value. If you don't want to pay VendorRate for the right to see their full reporting, don't. Simple. Don't whine about it. Art Art S.
