You need a sixth field in the array both screen and program array and this could be defined as a noentry field. Invoice Date Balance Default Date Payment Date Payment [04/01/95] [ 2000.00] [05/01/95] [ ] [ ][a] [05/01/95] [ 900.00] [06/01/95] [ ] [ ][a] [05/15/95] [ 4000.00] [06/15/95] [ ] [ ][a] [06/01/95] [ 1000.00] [07/01/95] [ ] [ ][a] [06/15/95] [ 1500.00] [07/15/96] [ ] [ ][a] Here the field [a] would have to be defined on the screen form and the program array. Now when the user presses a function key the code segment would look like ON KEY (F1) NEXT FIELD fld_a Since field a is a no entry field the cursor would automatically drop down to the next array element. Hope this helps. > Also, does INFORMIX have an e-mail address? They must, but I don't know > it, and would like to. > Sure do. But I do not have the kind of information that you are looking for. As far as I am aware they do not have an account that could be reached out by all. But people from informix do respond to this forum and have been extremely helpful in solving day to day problems faced by the user community. > Humbly yours, > Mark Kaiser > --Siva. ============================================================================== Sivaguru Ramanathan | 25-N-5 One Bell Center W: (314)235-0954 Software Consultant | Southwestern Bell Telephone H: (314)394-8633 Arbor Consulting Resources | St.Louis MO 63105. 7777 Bon Homme Ave. Ste #1801| Clayton MO 63105. | E-mail: cpg5484@swuts.sbc.com ==============================================================================
