You can find the dbspace where the database is created using
DBINFO('dbspace', hex(partnum)) for some system catalog table if you
have 7.1 or later version of the engine. This would be useful to you
only if you have all your tables in the database in the same dbspace
as where the database was created, which seems to be what you have. In
that case, the script command would be:
space_name=`dbaccess $DBNAME - 2>/dev/null <<! \\
| tail -2 | line
SELECT DBINFO('dbspace', HEX(partnum)) FROM systables
WHERE tabname = "systables";
!`

Hi
I write shell script on unix and i want to remove data base and the
spaces which belong to
this database so i now how to remove data base from the command line , i
know how
to remove space too, but i don't know how to find the space name (it can
has more then one space)
It need to be something like
space_name=< command to find the spaces>
