Help for Informix JDBC driver 1.4 wanted !

If I try to connect to our database server with ... DriverManager.getConnection(jdbcUrl); ... I have various exceptions: * when applet started within appletviewer "Attempt to connect to database server (Java socket exception encountered: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission 141.43.123.22:1526 connect,resolve)) failed" * when applet started within Netscape Communicator 4.07 or 4.5 "Not owner" * when applet started within Internet Explorer 4.01 runs flawlessy (no errors or exceptions) ??? The applet and the database server reside on the same machine. I think a security violation is raised. anybody can help ?

I forgot to say that the applet runs without error if I use Informix JDBC driver version 1.22 . thanx in advance
