RE: Datetime display

I believe there are two things to look at. First, the precision your are requesting, I believe, is not supported all platforms. Check the $INFORMIXDIR/release files. Secondly, and this turned out to be the case on my platform (Sequent), in your $ONCONFIG (assuming your using OnLine), verify that the config parameter USEOSTIME is turned on. OnLine cannot return the precision you are requesting, so turning this on, forces the server to go to OS to get the time (at a cost). Jon ------------------------------ Jon C. In one of my FOR loops I get the current datetime value from "CURRENT" and inserting into one of my tables. I see all kinds of weird characters going into the table at the 3 place of the fraction. Here is one of the values that went into the table 1995-11-14 08:59:14.00& If I use debug to go through my code one step at a time it is just fine. But, if I compile it using 'c4gl' and create an executable and run it, thats when I get all this weird things. If some can help me on this, I would appreaciate it. Thanks Balaji.
