Mukund and Wayne, First you need to defragment by copying the table to a new consecutive space. You have a few options: 1. Alter an index on the table to cluster and back. 2. Alter table table-name modify(col <what is already is>); this still works in 7.13. Will not work in 7.30 because of in-place alter table. 3. Alter fragment for table table-name init in dbspace-name; All the above require additional 55MB of free space. If you do not have it you will need to unload the table to tape, drop create and reload. In order to prevent the problem from repeating use the alter table command to set next size to a larger value. In the unload/load scenario you should re-set both 'extent size' and 'next size'. Roy G.
