It was originally logged as bug 31925, but it now appears that the real problem was that CONTROL-O was defined in stty as having a special meaning. Therefore, no application would see a ^O character when ^O was struck -- the tty interface intercepted the keystroke instead. (For example, on a Solaris "sun" window, ^O is the "flush" key. If I undefine the flush key, ^O works as expected.) Moral: check the output of stty -a (or equivalent) to ensure that the tty interface doesn't convert the control character into a signal or somesuch. -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com "Coffee without Caffeine is like Sex without the Costumes." -- Gavin Chester
