FW: Goodbye

It is very sad to see you go :-( I agree with your mail, I love this list, and their sense of humour that comes along with it. All the best for the future. I have been working with Informix products for more than a decade (since OL 5.1) but I doubt I will ever work again. I am changing job and in my new job I will work with any database except Informix:-(. Without seeing the familiar onstat and dbaccess on my desktop on a daily basis, there is absolutely no motivation for me to read , c.d.i let alone post. I just love this product. In fact I feel that anyone who works with Informix first (before other databases) will be spoiled for good because of its elegance and power, something I can tell from my experience with SQLServer and a brief exposure to DB2 on LUW. The c.d.i community has always been excellent and I would like to mention Jonathan Leffler, Art Kagel, Madison Pruet in particular for their technical help. And yes- special mention to trolls like Tim Schafer( I suspect his new avatar to be Datagoob), Mark Townsend (super sense of humOr) and Daniel Morgan (absolutely n(0) pretentions of impartiality). ravi sending to informix-list
