Not that I know of. I removed the database statement from your code (because the program doesn't access the database), and ran it on my Sparc 20 under Solaris 2.6 with I4GL 7.20.UD1 and I4GL-RDS 7.20.UD1, and both programs worked as expected. I wasn't able to test the F1 key because I'm not using a suitably rigged termcap entry, but all the other showhelp commands worked OK. I used the helpfile.msg file: .1 This is help message number 1 .3 This is the third help message. I compiled this using: mkmessage helpfile.msg helpfile.ex The file was in my current directory when I ran the tests. I cannot reproduce your problem, so you need to verify that the sample program you sent really doesn't work. If it doesn't, then report the problem to Informix Tech Support, but there is either a breakage because you're using 7.20.UDx where x > 1 and SHOWHELP is broken in that version, or there's something funny about your setup. I'm pretty much certain that the presence or absence of the database has nothing whatsoever to do with the issue.
