Client/Server architecture of Informix 6.00

We recently started working on Informix 6.0. Previously I was working on PowerBuilder 3.0. A facility I loved was that once you retrieve the data from the database into the datawindow, all the changes i.e; Inserts , Deletes , Updates were manupilated by PB without me having to write any code for that. I wonder if we could any facility provided by Informix 6.0 for this. Right now I have to maintain two arrays in order to implement the changes. We do not wish to lock the rows, hence we have implemented a version no. technique. I feel that there must exist a facility in a particular type of cursor declaration which takes care of this requirement. Incase you can suggest me a direct and short cut method .......
