Chunk data in sysmaster

Cooked chunks
A customer has `mv`ed the chunk containing the root dbspace from one
directory to another. Now when they try restore a backup taken with ontape
_after_ the `mv` the restore fails since the previous chunk path no longer
exists - no surprise there given the contents of syschunks in sysmaster
database.
Question: Is there a clean way out of the problem ? (Other than creating a
symbolic link pointing the old path at the new path OR unloading all the
databases and re-initialising the chunks)
TIA

It doesn't have anything to do with sysmaster. Sysmaster is nothing but
views (pseudo tables) into internal structures. The ability to move chunks
is a 9.4 feature (redirected restore). You must use sympolic links to move
chunks.
