Hi, first you should check if the OS environment is okay for KAIO: - HP-UX patches applied? - /dev/async 101 0x0000 - oninit : owner root, SUID root - sufficient shared memory? - entries in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log ? - /etc/privgroup : informix MLOCK - disk errors / SAN errors ? For what it's worth, getting kaio to work on HP is tricky. It's worth it, but it you do have to follow the instructions in the release notes for your machine, and then you might have to get in touch with HP to clarify some of the intents behind the settings. I know that I have had this working in the past, but it's been long enough ago that I don't remember what I knew then, and even if I did, it might not be relevant to recent versions of the operating system.
