Convert to Java instead. Then you can write server side code, client code, middle tier code, threaded code, you name it. It's a much better tool. If you don't think you need all the facilities now it's likely you will sometime quite soon. If you say you are a Windows (NT on the server) shop only then why lock yourself in totaly by writing code that can never run on any other platform. For application development we don't find the run *anywhere* idea of Java all that important, but we do find it important to be able to run our code some different places.
