Informix 7 on NCR 4850

Hey informix people Has anyone tested/benchmarked Informix 7 on a NCR 4850? We are currently running Informix 5 on one. The performance is OK, but we would like better. We installed and did a quick load command using Ver 7(unfortunately we don't have much time to test, in a hi-speed production mode:^( ), but the performance without any tuning was about the same as Ver 5. Our dba talked to the informix people, and they imply A LOT of tuning must be done to get the performance advertised. Is this true for NCR platforms, what about Ver 7 on other platforms? I have read some postings that say Ver 7 gave very good performance increases. I would like to be able to make the same statement. Any info sent my way would be greatly appreciated.
