That's an unusual number, but I'd concur with Keith Moffat that the
chances are that you've not got your complete Informix environment.
What's odd is that DB-Access works. Did you install SE and ESQL/C
in the same INFORMIXDIR? If not, then that's the trouble. If so,
did you change the environment between running DB-Access and ESQL/C?
I wonder if it could be LD_LIBRARY_PATH? On RedHat 5.1, the wonderful
X system quietly clobbers LD_LIBRARY_PATH -- unsets it completely.
That is a pain in the posterior if you do as I do, which is to login
under a terminal and then run X. Still, the ESQL/C doesn't normally
depend on that -- it is just the programs you build which do.
At any rate, check your environment very carefully.
