Ifx upgrades

Hi all, I've been out of the picture for some time now, but was hoping someone out there could help me out with a couple of questions. Issue #1: We have tested ver 7.1.4 and we are ready to upgrade, does anybody know if Ifx will continue to support 7.1.4 through the end of the year? Issue #2: We need to understand all ramifications of having different databases on different versions of Informix while on the same network (7.1.4 & 7.2.2) Anybody know? Example - we need to be able to execute a query that will take data via ODBC from a 7.1.4 database, and combine it with data via ODBC from a 7.2.2 database.
