Danny, Visual Basic .net, with WebForms, is an alternative, especially since IBM provides an ADO driver with .net support. Personally, I wouldn't go there. VB becomes tricky in large project, you are dependent on the Microsoft world... PHP is a good choice, easy to learn, not very tricky (you can have a look at http://www.db2mag.com/story/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=191502698 to have an idea). If you come to Vienna we can talk about it *subliminal ad here*. Java remains, in many cases, my favorite. It's not that complex, and tools like Java Studio Creator, Eclipse, RAD... It also depends WHERE you will deploy your project... jgp > -----Original Message----- > From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:informix-list- > bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Danny De Koster > Sent: Monday, September 18, 2006 15:09 > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Re: informix - webshop > > Is Visual Basic an alternatif? > > > "Jean Georges Perrin" <jgp@iiug.org> schreef in bericht > news:mailman.468.1158579971.20706.informix-list@iiug.org... > > Danny, > > > > It depends what you mean by "shop". Sure. http://www.maintenancelogistics.com/ :) There are lots of them; I assume you are actually asking something more specific? > Or with VB.net No idea.
