SQL-Retriever works fine with Informix 4,5,6 & 7 (OnLine & SE engines). You should not need to upgrade you Informix 7 or your OS or your hardware on account of SQL-Retriever assuming you are using recent versions. Nor can I find any record of you having reported a problem to us in Support. If you would like to tell me what the problem is, I will be happy to have a look at it.
