Re: Runaway dbaccess process
Posted in 1997
Ron,
I've experienced this kind of thing also on my SCO 3.2.4.2 box but
with users making a sockets connection to sqlexecd and to online. Somehow
when they exit, even in an orderly fashion from their workstation, the
sqlexec process is still running as reported by ps and by netstat.
Could that be your situation? I'm beginning to think the tcp software
is not releasing the connection. In other words, though my environment
picture is radically different from yours, there may be similar complicating
factors.
Yours,
Nick
