Uninstalling Informix and reclaiming raw disk space

How do I uninstall informix on a Sun machine ? Will uninstalling reclaim back all the raw disk space that was used for databases ? Thanks

rm -r $INFORMIXDIR tidy up the /usr/lib (look for the dead links to INFORMIXDIR/lib) and /etc/services if you want newfs /raw/disk if you like, it's raw disk the OS has no real idea what's on it so you can just re-use it Jack A wrote: > > How do I uninstall informix on a Sun machine ?
