ODBC and PDQ

I'm hoping one of you can help me. I want to set up ODBC data sources on NT and 95 client machines such that PDQ is set or not set on a per data source basis. For example, I've got data source X and data source Y. Data source X has PDQPRIORITY unset. Data source Y has PDQPRIORITY=20. I can't do a "SET PDQPRIORITY" statement manually from the client side, because it's a third-party PC product and I don't have access to the code, nor can I do dynamic SQL. I've tried using the informix.rc file on the server side, but this didn't seem to work. Does anyone have any ideas how I can accomplish this?
