Try this: After closing your lookup window, run an OPTIONS statement to (re-)set your MENU and MESSAGE lines. For example, if you use the defaults for each, do this: ... CLOSE WINDOW tinted ===> OPTIONS MENU LINE FIRST, MESSAGE LINE FIRST+1 If that "fixes" it, you are probably looking at known bug #12343. >> In the meantime, I had to abort plans to upgrade and have remained on 4.0. >> There are, no doubt, ways of working around the problem, but the number >> of screens affected was so large, I decided to wait. >> >> Has anyone else noticed this problem? Aside from those, 4.1 has been quite good. If you are on 4.0 (or, <shudder!>, .03), I would recommend making sure that you move to a 4.1 with the 11768 fix (any 4.10.UC1 or UD1 is sure to *not* have it; otherwise, it varies on a port-by-port basis; email me for details). FourGen users can probably also get the 11768 info from FourGen. If you have a bugfix release (last digit > 1), you can tell what fixes have been added from the base port by looking at the MACHNOTES* file(s) in the "release" subdirectory of INFORMIXDIR. -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland Disclaimer: These opinions are mine alone.
