Problem with END INPUT

In the small piece of software below, we have this problem: exiting, either in normal way or by interrupt, we see the message in the relative prompt instructions, but before the prompt instruction after the END INPUT statement, we have a Core dumped. This portion of software is running very well on HP, IBM, Silicon Graphics and MIPS hardware with different versions of Informix's Software (RDS 4.00, 4.10, 4.11 & SE 5.00, 5.01).
