Their job is to hide the defects and show the strengths of a product. The bottom line in any purchase, is do you *trust* your salesman? The local support organization? Also remember that for the most part, your sales critter is not *technical* so he may honnestly misrepresent the product. Over the years I have dealt with a lot of sales critters at informix. The bad apples tend to get weeded out quickly. -Mikey
