Online Admin Guide, Volume 2 Version 7.1 Page 38-11 CHUNKS range of values From DBSPACES to maxChunks where maxChunks= lesser of 2048 and (maxOpen-6) where maxOpen = maximum number of open files per process allowed by the operating system. Yes, I know 7.10.UD1 made this parameter dynamic and it's no longer in onconfig but surely the 2048 limit was not reduced??
