Benjamin, native Informix support is NOT built into the entry-level product (the one I am using). The entry level product has native support for dBase, Paradox, and the Interbase engine only. > > I saw a demo of Delphi today and would be very interested to hear > how your experience goes. Please let me know! I'm not sure who this message was intended for (it was addressed only to informix-list), but I would be happy to share my Delphi experiences with you. I am concurrently learning Delphi, Visual Basic, and PowerBuilder. So far, I like Delphi better than Visual Basic. Data access is much stronger, the executables are faster (compiled vs. interpretive), and the development environment is friendly. I haven't learned enough about PowerBuilder to make a comparison yet. I am certainly lamenting the lack of a setup wizard in Delphi, though! --------------------------------------------- Jim Carr BASS, Inc. Systems Analyst Dayton, OH
