Help on blob spaces

Hi, At my company we use external documents to database and we are using shares with acl control but it is very difficult to manage sometimes. I have read about blob spaces and I would like if someone can help about that, I know to create them but how we can work with it, what are the changes that we have to do on our code to access them, how can we put objects on blob space ... Sorry for my insistance but I have read some information and don't understand how to do it, thanks in advance for any help. SP
For dumb blobs like TEXT and BYTE type columns, which live either in tablespace or in blobspaces, look in the ESQL/C Programmers Guide in the section named "Programming with simple large objects" in Chapter 7. You will probably initially want to look at using the LOCFNAME method for loading a blob column from a file in order to load up your existing external document files. If you want to use Smart BLOBs like BLOB and CLOB type columns, look at Chapter 8 in the ESQL/C Guide "Smart large objects". Art Art S.
