Connection pool pb using jdbc

Hello, I'm using a connection pool, but I get some strange errors : All is working fine except that sometimes I get : System or internal error java.io.IOException: Broken pipe But all the connection are checked (isClosed) by the pool before sending back. I'm using the last jdbc from informix and jdk 1.2 prev2 for Linux. Thanks. Ludo
