Trying to restore an instance (recreate rss on backup location however once
finished and do onmode -d RSS myprim i do
onstat -g rsson the primary I am getting an error:
idsrssesbsoc Active Connected 3000939,-1 N
I use ontape to STDIO, pigz and ssh to the remote machine online (did this at
least 10 times so far .. always with success)
I 've tried it twice same problem, do you have any idea what I am doing wrong
Thank you
A.
What's RSS' online.log telling?
And what exactly is this output - where do you see this?
-> idsrssesbsoc Active Connected 3000939,-1 N

NEver happened before to have -1 for page id ..
My question is, I have a delay in the onconfig on the RSS and backink up
logical logs on disk on primary, can this make problem?
Thank you
A
I only can assume/conclude you filled all your logical logs on the primary
between the time your STDIO backup started on primary and the time you
issued 'onmode -d RSS <primary>' on the newly restored RSS.
If this is the case I'd generally recommend having significantly more
logical log space defined.

Andreas thank you for the response,
I doubt this is the case as long as we believe the numbers of the onstat -g
rss ... there is difference of like 1000logs between working and non working
rss and i have some 2500llogs ... but anyhow i'll give it a try again and get
back to you all
Thanks again
A.
