Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Aleksandar Ivanovski rebuilt an RSS secondary via ontape STDIO but onstat -g rss on the primary showed page id -1 and logs 'no longer available' for the RSS. Andreas Legner asked for the RSS log and suspected all logical logs filled during the backup, advising more log space. Aleksandar doubted this given about 2500 logs but would retry. Unresolved.

Dear all,
Trying to restore an instance (recreate rss on backup location however once
finished and do onmode -d RSS myprim i do
onstat -g rsson the primary I am getting an error:
idsrssesbsoc Active Connected 3000939,-1 N
I use ontape to STDIO, pigz and ssh to the remote machine online (did this at
least 10 times so far .. always with success)
I 've tried it twice same problem, do you have any idea what I am doing wrong
Thank you
A.
What's RSS' online.log telling?
And what exactly is this output - where do you see this?
-> idsrssesbsoc Active Connected 3000939,-1 N

Thank you

I only can assume/conclude you filled all your logical logs on the primary
between the time your STDIO backup started on primary and the time you
issued 'onmode -d RSS <primary>' on the newly restored RSS.
If this is the case I'd generally recommend having significantly more
logical log space defined.

Andreas thank you for the response,
I doubt this is the case as long as we believe the numbers of the onstat -g
rss ... there is difference of like 1000logs between working and non working
rss and i have some 2500llogs ... but anyhow i'll give it a try again and get
back to you all
Thanks again
