onbar_backup
Hello,
i am using informix 9.x on windows 2000 platform and i want to take a backup
(logical log backup) by means of onbar by setting LTAPEDEV to c:\\\\backup_log.txt
(because i want backup results go to disk on file c:\\\\backup_log.txt rather than
tape)
and alarmprogram.bat is called when a logical log is full but where one
logical log is full,it will not backedup
and in bar activity file the below message is shown:
successfully connect to ism .
begin logical log number xxxx
but there is no backup
ISM is the default storage manager that i am using and i haven't used
third party like veritas net backup.
Please direct me .I appriciate your kindly help

Hi,
LTAPEDEV as storage location is used only by 'ontape' . onbar/ism doesn't
use LTAPEDEV (except for setting /dev/null). The location of the backup files
is only specified within the ism configuration.
You can configure ism to write to directories/files .
