Since you're having problems, most probably because you didn't tell it where to put the data. You don't discuss how you've set up the host variables to receive the data, and there are multiple options (SQLDA, SQL DESCRIPTOR, plain host variables), so we can't be sure this is your problem, but it might easily be. > The same code returns columns where they are named in the select > statement. Do you mean that when you replace "SELECT *" with an enumerated list of column names, (as in "SELECT c1, c2, c3, ... FROM Fname WHERE KEY = '01'"), the ESQL/C code starts working? I'd need to see your code, and the schema for the fname table, before I believed you, I'm afraid. > PS.
