Well, if they do come onto your machine they have to FTP the source code over and recompile -- passwords get optional at that point. Not that I remember a password (been a while since I last called Informix on this one). Oh, they delete the source as soon as its compiled, and remove the s/w as soon as its used -- there's a window where you can get it, though. Another (not recommended) option is to bounce the engine a couple of times (if you're sure that you don't really /need/ recovery. Used to recover from stupid purges before -- not applicable to most situations though. -Richard
