I had a similar problem, had to change the "tune" files...
Bela posted a "cleaner" way to make the changes that I had done manually...

Thanks for writing it up.
The parameters should be in the same place for any SCO OpenServer
release.

config.h is an intermediate & output file of the kernel build process.
You don't have to edit it at all; it's re-generated from mtune, stune
and other items.
stune contains only those parameters which have been changed from
defaults, so it's natural that you would have to add to it (except see
below).
In general, you shouldn't edit mtune and stune at all. Kernel
parameters are normally tuned with configure(ADM) on OpenServer, but
some of the changes you want to make aren't supported by that, so use
idtune(ADM). Something like:
cd /etc/conf/cf.d
../bin/idtune SEMMNI 2048 -max 8192
../bin/idtune SEMMNS 2048 -max 8192
../bin/idtune SEMMAP 2048 -max 8192
../bin/idtune SHMMAX 671088640
./link_unix -y
I think those lines summarize what you changed, in a reasonably
easy-to-use form.
