onstat and tbstat

Hi, We have just upgraded from 5.x to 7.x. Those tbxxxx files are now onxxxx files, but they still exist lots of tbxxxx like tbstat, tbmonitor, and so on, are these files different from the new version onstat and onmonitor or they are the just the same but with different names?? I read some where that Informix put these files for convenience and will not support them in future versions (we are still in 7.13) I would like to delete those tb* files, any harm??? Nien
