WIN95/NewEra Reports Question

For the NewEra hackers out there, NewEra comes up way short when it come to printing reports. ASCII Codes are suddenly not available to manipulate text height, font, etc. I have a real need to print in a landscape format and the nature of the reports prevents me from using ViewPoint. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Informix (true to form) has failed to provide a solution so if you know of one, I'd like to hear from you.
