[Q] I-DBA/I-NET doesn't work.. Need help please

I have been trying to get Informix-DBA to work on a windows workstation using Informix-Net and Informix-SE on an RS/6000. On the unix side, I made sure the tcp/ip files were ok (the /etc/services /etc/hosts and /etc/hosts.equiv), and that sqlexecd is running. On the PC I started REMSQL (running under FTP TCP/IP). Once in windows I load I-DBA, and get the DBA control panel. No databases appear in the Databases box, and the only button I can hit is the NEW (which if I try to create a new database, returns 'SQL error(-457): unknown error' when I [create] something). An interesting note: I kept a close eye on my tcp/ip statistics, and no packets were sent when opening the DBA control panel or trying to create a database. I'm running the following versions: I-SE 4.1 I-NET 5.01 (unix) I-NET 4.10 (dos) I-DBA 1.0 FTP PC/TCP 2.31(?) I'm kinda new to the Informix world, but have worked with other dbs (esp. Oracle).
