Relay Module does not work

Dears, I need your help to solve this problem. Our customer had upgraded his machine and his Informix Software. The old machine were running Aix 3.2.5 and the previous Informix products were Online 5.05, 4GL 4.12 and SQL 4.12. The new machine runs Aix 4.2.1.0 and the new Informix products are IDS 7.3 , 4GL 7.2 and SQL 7.2. The customer needs to run his old compiled 4ge programs on the new environment, so we set the SQLEXEC=$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlrm environment variable, but we get the following error message when we run any old 4ge: "please install an INFORMIX-4GL Run Time Facility and run this program again". To check that every thing is installed ok, we have made a new test program and compiled it under Version 7.3 compiler and informix-list@iiug.orgchecked that it runs O.K. and does not give any error.
