Abhi and others: Thanks for the post - one of your colleagues also e-mailed me with the PDF documentation, which was very helpful. The GA version looks just like our beta copy in terms of file date/timestamps. Overall, it works great. However, we've run into a problem when trying to use it with a multithreaded application. Here the scenario... I am using a thread pool, with 15 max threads - this isn't the built-in thread pool, but is an implementation based on a posting on GotDotNet - see Stephen Toub's posting at http://www.gotdotnet.com/Community/UserSamples/Details.aspx?SampleGuid=44f8045b-81ad-4cd8-a153-4acbec7c2cfd . Within each unit of work (which runs within a thread managed by the thread manager class) I make several calls(selects, inserts, deletes) to the database. Everything runs fine until nearing the end of the process when all the remaining active threads seem to hang. If I pause the application and look at the "Threads" window I notice that IBM.Data.Informix.CMDWrapper.DismissStatement is listed along with some of my other active threads, leading me to believe that there some type of deadlocking issue. One thing to not...there are other threads in a waiting state, and it seems as if it only happens when there are some available threads. The same exact code works fine using ODBC. I'm hoping someone has seen this behavior or is familiar with any known issues with multi-threaded apps using the new provider. One other note - this implementation runs as a Windows Service, not in ASP.NET - not sure if that makes a difference, but as a service, the app should behave pretty much like a WinForm application, so there are some differences there. Thanks all - look forward to any feedback. I'll also log a call with tech support unless someone on the group knows about this issue.
